NEW MANDATE FOR 2008

The charities we sew for have told us that the need in the Greater Harrisburg Area is growing at an alarming rate. We have been told their charitable donations are down significantly over last year, while at the same time, the request for their services has grown beyond their projections. They need our help more than ever. More charities are finding out about us, so requests for the items we sew is growing. Because of our country's current economic situation (which I don't think is going to improve very soon) we have developed a new mandate: Recruit more sewers, find new sources of donations of fabric, concentrate our efforts in our own back yard to benefit the Greater Harrisburg Area, and remember that God is still in control! To help in our recruiting efforts, we have developed a professional looking brochure. If you'd like a brochure to hand out to people or companies who might be able to help us, please give me a call and I'll mail it to you.

As you know, we barely fit all the sewers into my living room once a month, so to accommodate the additional sewers we are seeking, we will now sew in my home twice a month -- the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of every month. If you are not able to join us here, please consider sewing at your home and dropping your completed projects off at my home. We also need people to help cut out fabric, and deliver our creations to the various charities in town. Our mailing list has grown to over 90, so donations of postage stamps will be a huge help to me, personally. Thank you for making my dream come true!
