December is for Giving!

December 15, Pat Nissle of Light House Ministries picked up the 202 pieces we sewed last month. She was really grateful. The timing was great because she only had a small bag left of the things we donated to her in September! We'll sew from 10 am to 11:30, and then Pat will share her stories, and then we'll sew until 2:00 pm. Christmas is the perfect time for us to learn about the gift of love that Pat extends to our neighbors, and the gift of love through sewing that we can give to her.

Tentative Projects for 2008:
Sunday, January 13, from 12:00 to 3:00 FREE FABRIC at Trinity United Methodist Church in Hummelstown. We have fabric that has been donated to us that doesn't work for our projects, and believe that other charity sewing groups are experiencing the same thing. We want to hook these fabrics up with the charity sewers who can use them. These fabrics will be available to all the charity sewing groups we can find, so come early to get the best stuff!

January 19, 2008 we will continue to sew winter stuff for Light House Ministries, and possibly for an additional ministry one of our sewing sisters is following up on. Will keep you posted . . .

February 16, 2008 we will sew winter clothing and blankets for Salvation Army and Morning Star.

March 15, 2008 is Sew Much for Charity, so please put it on your new 2008 calendar in ink!

April 19 and May 17, 2008 we will concentrate on totebags for Salvation Army's summer day camp. They need 90 solid color 17" x 17" (cut dimensions) sturdy totebags by June.
